-------- Original Message --------
MSHSA met on Thursday, June 17th, 2010 at the Malvern Arena. The minutes
were read and approved. The treasurer's report was given and approved.
We have a balance of $4,478.63.
The Malvern Senior Citizen Center has been reserved for the MS Banquet
on Saturday, October 16th, 6 to 9. We would like to have the Banquet
catered. Suzann Harrington will check for the cheapest and best ffod.
Concerning year end awards: If a participant places in the top 5 in more
than one event, this person will be able to choose a more expensive
gift, rather than getting five of the same thing. We will revert back to
the same amount being spent on placings 1-5
.Ernie and Jackie Flowers will put together the memorial page for Alfred
Wagner and Bill Townsend that will be put in the State Program.
Our appreciation goes to Christy Ingle for designing our 2010 MS
t-shirts. They will have an intricate design on the back with Mid State
on the front. They will be turquoise in color, because this was the only
color in which all styles were available. The price will be $12 for
children and adult sizes. $13 for 2X and 3X sizes. Order these shirts
from Suzann Harrington.
The MS Secretary will get ribbons this week for the Benefit Shows. Sets
of ribbons will be ordered. Clubs using this ribbons will be expected to
reimburse Mid State. Ribbons will be given to Pee Wee and Buckaroo
participants only.
Mid State would like to apologize for not getting the 2009 Sportsmanship
Awards to the receipients in a timely manner. We are still trying to get
this done.
Sara Beth Ramsey (member of Malvern) received the Bill Townsend Memorial
Scholarship Award of $500 for 2010.
A "thank you" card from the Thomas family was read for the beautiful
plant in memory of Darlene's mother.
Motion made to adjourn. Respectively
submitted, Darlene T. MS Sec.
